Chamber Plan Employee Benefits May Premium Adjustment due to Covid 19

May Premium Adjustments Due to
COVID-19

We are now able to confirm the following credits, which represent portions of the premium you were billed for May, will be applied to your June billing:
 

  • Dental: 50% premium adjustment
  • Extended Health: 10% premium adjustment

 
Once again, there is nothing for you to do. These credits will be applied automatically. While certain healthcare providers were given permission to reopen at the start of May, we will continue to support firms and their employees in this way until such time as employees are able to make use of these services and claims experience begins to return to normal.
 
Chambers Plan is founded on a pooled approach to benefits, contributing to its unparalleled rate stability. Rates are established, fully or partially, in keeping with the combined experience of all firms on the Plan. We want to assure you, we will continue monitoring the situation to protect the stability you have come to expect, and which is central to the Plan.

As the world responds to the COVID-19 pandemic, safely supporting the mental health of business owners and their employees is more important than ever. With a Chambers Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP), offered through our partner, Arete®, you and your employees can feel confident you will receive high quality, confidential psychosocial counselling from Arete, delivered safely by phone, video and—when it is safe to do so—in-person sessions. 

To access counselling support, simply call Arete at 1-877-412-7483 and provide your Firm and Certificate number to the Arete intake team. They will actively listen to your concerns and will work with you to identify and match you with the professional best suited to meet your needs. The Arete counsellor network in Canada is extensive and will provide the confidential mental health support you or your employees need—however and wherever you need it. If you are interested in supporting your employees by adding EAP to your Plan, please contact your advisor, or, email info@johnstongroup.ca.
